I’ve been in countless bands since leaving school (a distant memory, at least ten years ago now), and quite a few of these bands involving Mark Janitor and Andrew Janitor and their various musical talents, with me mostly playing the bass. The Janitors has been one of the few bands where I’ve been allowed to play the guitar and I have finally come round to the fact that I actually prefer the guitar to the bass. When I learn how to play properly I’m hoping to enjoy it even more, and who knows, in the future I may even get good enough to join a proper band. In the meantime though I’m happy to stick with the three chords I know, and belt out those punk classics – I’ve always been really into punk music, and for live gigs there really is no better music to play for sheer enjoyment and energy, and lets not forget that timeless sound of the test card in your ears for 48 hours after a gig to remind you what fun it was!!!
