I’ve been in bands since school and have gone down all the different avenues to get signed by a record company (we did get signed once, to a very dodgy one). Just about all the music I have been involved in has had something to do with Andrew and Dave (I think they have held me back a bit) who are both in the Janitors. With us it's very much friends first, music second, we don't always agree on the music front but band or no band we will remain great friends. In our last band I sang and played some guitar (badly) and picked up the bass for the first time in about 20 years to help start the Janitors. We have gone back to our first love, which is Punk, I can always remember my brother coming home from Newcastle and saying have a listen to these, he played me "I’m an Upstart" and "Stranglehold", after that day there was no looking back.
